Revision Terms

Included revision rounds, feedback obligations and how major changes are handled.

1. Purpose

These Revision Terms explain how revision rounds, feedback and change requests are managed for creative work delivered by CAQA Creative, part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative. They apply to branding, design, content, visual identity and creative production engagements scoped through this website, and should be read together with our Creative Services Terms.

2. Included revision rounds

Every written scope states the number of revision rounds included for each deliverable. Unless the scope says otherwise, each deliverable includes two consolidated revision rounds: a first round following presentation of the initial concept or draft, and a second round following delivery of the revised version. A revision round begins when we receive consolidated feedback and ends when the amended deliverable is returned to the client.

3. What counts as a revision

A revision is a refinement of work within the approved brief and the selected creative direction: adjusting layout, colour, type, imagery, wording, pacing, mix or similar elements of the deliverable that was presented. Corrections of errors made by us do not consume a revision round and are always fixed at no charge. Minor copy corrections, file-format exports and small technical adjustments requested at handover are treated the same way and are accommodated within the round in which they are raised.

4. Major changes and new work

A change to the brief, target audience, deliverable list, format or creative direction after work has begun is not a revision; it is a variation. Examples include rebriefing a logo after concepts have been presented, substituting a different manuscript for editing, changing the track to be mixed, or adding new deliverables. Variations, and revision requests beyond the included rounds, are quoted before any further work proceeds, at the rate stated in the scope or at the indicative rates published on our pricing page, and are invoiced separately. No payments are taken through this website.

5. Client feedback obligations

Revision rounds work when feedback is consolidated. Clients agree to nominate one contact who gathers input from all stakeholders and provides a single, consolidated set of written comments for each round. Unless the scope states otherwise, feedback is due within ten business days of a deliverable being presented. If feedback is not received within that period, timelines are extended accordingly; where a project remains inactive for twenty business days or more without prior arrangement, we may pause or close the engagement, and a reactivation fee may apply before work resumes.

6. How to request revisions

Revision requests should be sent by email to info@caqa.com.au or through the channel nominated in the scope, referencing the deliverable and the version being reviewed. We confirm receipt, indicate whether the request falls within an included round or requires a quote, and provide a turnaround estimate.

7. Approval

When a client approves a deliverable, or puts it to public use, the deliverable is treated as accepted and any further amendments are handled as new work. We keep records of feedback and approvals for the life of the engagement so that both parties can track what was requested and delivered in each round. Approval may be given by email or through the review channel nominated in the scope. Where several stakeholders must sign off, the nominated contact is responsible for confirming that all approvals have been obtained before a deliverable is released for production, print or publication.

8. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Revision Terms limits the consumer guarantees that apply to our services under the Australian Consumer Law. If a deliverable is defective or not fit for the agreed purpose, the remedies described in our Cancellation Policy apply regardless of how many revision rounds have been used.

9. Contact

Questions about these Revision Terms can be sent to info@caqa.com.au, raised by phone on 1800 266 160, or submitted through our contact page.
